People across the whole nation, especially in Maharashtra, are set to welcome Lord Ganesha to their homes and in their lives as tomorrow we celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi. This day is one of the most auspicious and sought-after days each year, especially in Maharashtra. And even our Bollywood brigade partakes in these celebrations with utmost enthusiasm each year.

Usually, Ganpati pandals are very extravagant and full of celebration and people each year, but due to the Covid pandemic, Bollywood celebrated an intimate Ganeshotsav in 2020. This year, the situation isn’t any different but the B-townies are nowhere lacking in their excitement to welcome Bappa to their home.

Amitabh Bachchan also seems to have got in the celebratory mode for the Ganeshotsav. Recently, the Big B shared a video, celebrating the festival virtually, on Instagram. The video also gave the first glimpse from Mumbai’s iconic Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati in 2021. Along with the video, he wrote, “ॐ गण गणपतये नमः .. Ganpati Bappa Morya .. पहला दर्शन , लालबागचा राजा”.

Lalbaugcha Raja is one of the most famous Ganpati pandals in Mumbai and sees thousands of devotees each year - who come to pay their respect and seek blessings of Bappa for a fruitful and happy life.

Meanwhile on the work front, Bachchan is currently hosting the 13th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati and was recently seen on the silver screen in Rumy Jafry’s Chehre, where he teamed up with Emraan Hashmi for the first time. Up next, he has multiple films in the pipeline. First up is Jhund, which is looking for a release date. After that he has Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, and only a few days of shoot is left for that film. He is teaming up with Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh for Mayday and has Vikas Bahl’s Goodbye with Rashmika Mandanna and Neena Gupta and Nag Ashwin’s next in pipeline as well. He is also reportedly a part of Sooraj Barjatya’s next directorial Oonchai and also has to start work on the remake of The Intern with Deepika Padukone.
